Summer seems to have skipped right over the Northwest. I know its not over and there is still time for it to come up with some surprises, but for the most part it has been a very mild summer. I'm ok with that. Along with heat and long days comes the inevitable summer weddings; I am on the brink of shooting two of them. At the end of this week things are going to start heating up with back to back weddings for two fantastic couples. Friday Melissa and Nick will have their go and the following day Miranda and Sergio tie the knot. Both couples are super cool and I am very fortunate to be photographing their weddings.
As a small tribute to weddings, and the feeling of love in the air I am posting photos from a recent wedding that I assisted on for one of my friends, Mike Lowery. I was going with the intention of being a voice-activated light stand for a majority of the time, but ended up getting some fantastic (if I do say so myself) shots as well. Since Mike was the main shooter I only came equipped with my Nikon and 17-50 ƒ2.8 lens. After things got moving I was kicking myself for not bringing more lenses, but feel I worked with what I had pretty well.
To Katie and Casey, the bride and groom in these photos, your wedding was beautiful and I am thankful to have been able to attend. I hope that ya'll enjoy all your photos.
So sit back and feel the love!
